What happened in podcast advertising in 2020 and how to approach the year ahead

The growing podcast advertising channel barely slowed down when the pandemic hit in early spring. The number of new advertisers appearing in podcasts increased by nearly 150 advertisers each week and the average number of shows they appeared on grew from 3.6 shows per advertiser in January to 6.2 in November. Though the channel is growing to become mainstream, there's still plenty of room for new advertisers and growth in the coming year.
